Backfire guard for acetylene is a mandatory component in gas welding and cutting equipment. The guard prevents backflow of the cutting gas into the gas hose or vice versa, reducing the risk of gas mixture formation. Gas mixtures can cause hose explosions. In addition, the backfire guard includes a flame damper, backflow valve, and filter, all of which contribute to work safety. Select the correct backfire guard according to the connection and ensure that safety regulations are met in compliance with the standard.
